CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
As important and valued members of our family, we want to see every one of our children and young people encountering Jesus and getting to know Him for themselves. We are passionate about providing a safe and enjoyable environment where our children and youth can have fun, make friends and learn together.
At the beginning of our Sunday meetings, our kids and youth join with the rest of the church family for a time of worship before heading into their groups.
On your first visit you will be asked to complete a short registration form. In following weeks you will need to sign your children in to their groups.
STEPPING STONES (1-7 years)
Stepping Stones is our programme for the youngest members of our family where they are encouraged and supported in exploring God together. Through fun activities such as play, craft, Bible stories and singing and dancing we aim to be taking steps towards knowing God.
Stepping Stones go out for their group time in the Conference Room where they are then put into age appropriate groups, with activities tailored to each.
UNITE
Unite is the umbrella name for our programmes for children over 8 years of age and our youth with our team ready to greet you with a warm welcome and an opportunity to spend some time together on Sunday mornings.
Through hands on activities, lots of visual learning and digging into their Bibles, we long to see young people getting to know the meanings of the stories they explore. Our hope is that this will impact on their lives, their relationship with Jesus and will enable them to be Christ-centred and Christ-confident in the world around them.
We encourage our older youth to participate in the main meeting and hear the sermon as we believe it will help them to mature in their walk with God and as young adults.
FAVERSHAM YOUTH, CHURCHES TOGETHER YOUTH GROUP
Outside of Sundays, our secondary age youth are also invited to meet weekly with other young people from across a number of local Faversham churches. This is a great space to build friendships, have fun, study the Bible and enjoy God together.
We currently meet during term time on a Wednesday evening, 7-9pm, in the Upper Hall at Faversham Baptist Church. If you are in school years 7-13 you are very welcome to come along.
NEWDAY
One of the highlights of our year is attending Newday, a gathering of 7,000 young people. This is a week packed full of wonderful Biblical teaching, amazing worship, opportunities to engage with the local community and lots and lots of fun! We are so thankful for this opportunity to encounter God with other Christians of a similar age.
Newday is aimed at young people between the ages on 12-19 but also offers plenty of opportunities for people of all ages to serve in a variety of practical ways.

The safety of our children and young people is of absolute importance. All adults involved in our children’s work are DBS checked and undergo regular safeguarding training. We have a full child and vulnerable adults protection policy.
