On Sunday we took some time to pause and reflect on what we had been exploring together as a Church over the summer months.

As we continue with our ‘Love Faversham’ focus, Sam led us through a time in Matthew 22 as we explored Jesus answer to the question of what is the greatest commandment.

This morning, Sam shred the heart behind our ‘Love Faversham’ summer focus. He started by taking us to 1 Corinthians 13 as we asked the question, ‘What’s love got to do with it?’

There are questions around whether the theme of Romans 8 is ‘assurance’ or ‘the Holy Spirit’. This morning, as we explored Romans 8:1-17, we saw that the closest truth is when we put them together.

On Pentecost Sunday we celebrate Jesus sending the promised Holy Spirit, the Helper, to dwell in, and among, the Church.

This Sunday also sees the start of a season where are seeking to grow in being a people who are living by the Spirit,

We have started a news series where, over the next four weeks, we will be looking at the ascension of Christ and asking what Jesus is doing now and what does it mean for us today.

Sam got our series started in Acts 1:1-11 as we looked together at how Jesus, as the ascended prophet, is building His church and it’s witness in the world.

On Resurrection Sunday we celebrate risen Jesus!

As part of our time together, Sam spoke on the resurrection account that we find in Mark’s gospel account (Mark 16:1-8)

During Lent we are journeying together through the Gospel of Mark.

This week, Sam spoke on two parables that Jesus told in Mark chapter 4 that help us to see that the Kingdom of God is an upside-down kingdom.

Through Lent we are inviting you to read through the Gospel of Mark with us. Each week we’ll be stopping of at various points through the life of Jesus and exploring what Mark shares with us.

This Sunday, Sam was speaking on Mark 1:1-13 and Mark’s account of Jesus’ baptism.
