Prayer and Encounter Evenings
‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’ Philippians 4:6
Through prayer we express our relationship with God as our Father, sharing our lives, our hopes, our concerns with Him. We believe God cares and answers prayer and so, as a church, we look to meet together often to pray.
Our Prayer and Encounter evenings take place once a month, usually on the third Wednesday of the month. These evenings are opportunities to join together to worship and pray for people and situations within the life of church and in the world around us. Through prayer we speak to God, yet we are also expectant that as we allow ourselves to listen to Him, He speaks to us.
Prayer and Encounter evenings are usually hosted at The Abbey School, 8pm-9:30pm
We also open our office doors once a week, 2pm-3pm for people to come and pray together. This will usually be on a Tuesday or a Wednesday afternoon. If you would like to know more, please get in touch with our office.
ENOUGH
ENOUGH is a prayer initiative of Relational Mission which looks to inspire local churches and individuals to increase their desire for God and to engage in prayer. This is worked out through special nights of prayer that take place three times a year, typically in March, June and November.
Groups of churches gather together in hubs for a half night of prayer at the same time as all the other hubs around the world. As a church we join with other local churches in the East Kent area.
The heart behind ENOUGH is to declare that we have had enough of the poverty, the dysfunction and the pain in our broken world, while also declaring that God is enough, that He is sufficient.
